Parents/Guardians - Free Sports Physicals!
The Panther Center, located at LCHS, is offering all student athletes a free sports physical on Thursday, July 13th and Friday, July 14th. The center will be open from 8-4 both days. No appointment is required.

The list below has the state mandated health/wellness requirements for students entering PK, K, 2nd, 7th, and 12th grade. Exam and immunization records, for students starting these grade levels, must be submitted to LCS School Health Services no later than August 16, 2023.

The LCS 2023 Summer Teacher Learning Academy wrapped up last week. Our teachers had the chance to learn from several incredible speakers and had hands-on breakout classes throughout the week!
The pictures here are from an afternoon workshop on student behavior. Teachers were split into groups based on grade levels to target specific student needs.

LCS Teachers are stepping into a student role this week for the 2023 Summer Teacher Academy. John Antonetti is this morning's keynote speaker. During his teaching career, John has taught many different subjects in every grade level. John now travels to schools across the country working with educators to implement innovative teaching strategies for students today. John's presentation was extremely impactful for our incredible educators.

We are excited to start the 2023 Summer Feeding Program. This program is open to anyone 18-years-old and under, and we are offering meals at five locations. LCHS will be providing meals starting June 26th, with the rest of the sites starting the following week on July 5th.

GVMS Students Natalie Stevens and Jayla Gue took home top honors in the school's Still Life Canvas Painting Contest. Congratulations to you both!! The paintings look amazing! 🖼️👩🏻🎨🎨🖌️


The LCS Summer School/Enrichment Program is back! This program is designed to be engaging for students with plenty of hands on learning! Credit recovery is also available at LCHS for students in grades 6-12. To find your summer school destination, check out the list below!

It's graduation week! LCHS' graduation is this Friday, May 26th at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center at 7:00 p.m. All schools in Lincoln County are dismissing 1-Hour early this Friday to allow everyone enough time to make it to Charleston. Congrats Class of 2023!

The band is back together! Under the direction of Josh DeHaven, the Harts PK-8 Middle School Band recently held their first concert at the school. It has been great watching the students grow as musicians this year. Great job, Lions!




Girl-Power, a drone team from Hamlin PK-8, took a trip to the Clay Center recently to showcase their drone skills! It was a great day of flying and learning! Great job, Girl-Power!

For the 22-23 school year, LCHS added an EMT class to the school's growing number of CTE courses. The students in the class recently had their "graduation" for completing all of the required course work to become an EMT. These students can now take the Practical Exam to become a Nationally Certified EMT. Congratulations to the students for taking on and successfully completing this challenging course. And thank you to Lincoln County EMS for allowing Olivia Watson, a former Panther, to come to the school and teach this class!




Update: The Spring Games Parade Route has been fixed to mark the correct route. The parade will turn left onto Route 3 and follow the road to the Lion's Club Field. We apologize for any confusion. We are excited to see all of the athletes tomorrow!
Are you ready to GLOW? This Thursday, May 11th, is the 2023 LCS Spring Games. The day kicks off at 9:00 a.m. with a parade through Hamlin. All games athletes are invited to participate in the parade! The parade will start at Hamlin PK-8 and finish at the Lion's Club Field. Following the parade, athletes will compete in events at the Lion's Club Field. Parents/Guardians are invited to attend! Lunch will be provided, and the concession stand will be open during the games. We can't wait to see everyone on Thursday, LETS GLOW!
**In the event of bad weather on Thursday, the LCS Spring Games will be pushed to Thursday, May18th.
