What Is State Conservation Camp?
Since 1941, the WV State Conservation Camp has welcomed youth from all over the state to kick off their summer with new friends and opportunities to explore the natural world of WV and learn more about WV's natural resources!
The goal of this camp is to acquaint West Virginia youth with the social and economic values of our natural resources and environment; to create in them a desire to save and defend from waste these resources; and to develop future conservation leaders.

Gina Cummings Memorial Scholarship- Deadline extended to May 1, 2026
LCHS will host a Junior Financial Aid Night on Thursday, April 30 beginning at 6 pm in the Media Center. Our goal is to help students and their families start thinking ahead when it comes to financial aid for post-secondary education and training. The brief presentation will cover FAFSA completion, state financial aid programs, and key steps students should take as they prepare for their senior year. There will be a Q & A session to answer questions from students and families. Food and refreshments will be provided. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

This is a reminder that 11th grade students will be taking the SAT on Tuesday, April 21st. All other high school students will be learning remotely from home, via Schoology on this day. Again SAT School Day is Tuesday, April 21st. Only 11th grade students will report to LCHS that day. Thank you!
