Lincoln County, WV — September 30, 2026 — Lincoln County Schools’ Child Nutrition Program is kicking off October with new recipes, student favorites, and a carnival-themed celebration of National School Lunch Week, October 12–16!

This year’s National School Lunch Week theme will bring a little carnival fun to the cafeteria with creative menu names and special meals throughout the week. Students can look forward to favorites such as Popcorn Chicken, BBQ Chicken Fries, Pigs in a Blanket, Apple Nachos, and more. New recipes are highlighted in bold on the October menus, giving students the opportunity to try something new while still enjoying familiar favorites.

Although there is no school on Monday, October 12, the celebration will continue Tuesday through Friday.

LCHS is adding even more choices for students this October. Beginning October 5, a third lunch line featuring American Classics will be available, offering favorites such as cheeseburgers, corn dogs, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, Chicken Philly, meatball subs, and more.

And every Monday, fresh, from-scratch pepperoni rolls will now be available on all LCHS lunch lines—bringing a West Virginia favorite to the menu each week.

Families are encouraged to check out the October 2026 breakfast, lunch, and supper menus and see what’s coming to the cafeteria this month.
