May

As we head into the final month of the school year, our May menus are blooming with colorful, nutritious foods inspired by the bright colors of spring flowers. These will also be the final menus of what has been a wonderful school year for Lincoln County Schools.

Throughout the year, our goal has been to provide students with balanced meals that fuel learning, support growth, and introduce a variety of healthy options they can enjoy both in and out of school.

This month’s menus continue that celebration with vibrant fruits and vegetables, wholesome grains, lean proteins, and student favorites that bring both nutrition and flavor to the table. Just like colorful May flowers, nutritious foods provide important vitamins and nutrients that help students finish the school year strong.

All meals served through Lincoln County Schools are planned to meet USDA meal pattern requirements through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Our staff works hard to ensure students receive balanced meals that include the proper components and nutrition needed to support learning, growth, and overall wellness.

We are incredibly proud of our cafeteria teams across Lincoln County Schools for the care, hard work, and dedication they show every day serving our students. From preparing meals early each morning to creating welcoming cafeterias, their efforts make a meaningful difference in the lives of our children.

As summer approaches, we know that access to nutritious meals remains important for many families. We are currently finalizing plans for our Summer Meal Box Program, and more information will be released soon. Families are encouraged to watch our district website and social media pages for registration details, pickup information, and updates in the coming weeks.

Thank you for allowing us to serve your students this school year. We hope everyone has a safe, healthy, and successful finish to the year!
