April

Lincoln County Schools is excited to announce the April Child Nutrition menus, featuring seasonal favorites, student-loved recipes, and continued efforts to support the health and wellness of students across the district.

The month will kick off with a district-wide Easter Dinner on April 1, giving students the opportunity to enjoy a festive meal prepared by their school nutrition teams. These special meals are always a highlight for students and staff and reflect the dedication of Child Nutrition employees who work each day to provide nutritious and enjoyable meals.

March also brought great excitement as Lincoln County Schools celebrated National School Breakfast Week, which was a tremendous success across the district. Schools participated in themed breakfasts and fun activities that encouraged students to start their day with a healthy meal. Several of the popular recipes featured during that week will appear again on April menus due to student demand. In addition, students can look forward to trying a new Sunshine Smoothie, which will be available on April 2.

Lincoln County Schools will observe Spring Break from April 6–10. Families are reminded that many schools operate school pantries that currently have food items available. Families who may need additional snacks or food support during the break are encouraged to contact their school so arrangements can be made to send items home with students.

Later in the month, Lincoln County Schools will celebrate Every Kid Healthy Week during the week of April 20. This national celebration highlights the importance of nutrition, physical activity, and overall student wellness. Child Nutrition staff are excited to play an important role in promoting healthy habits and supporting the wellness of the whole student. When students are well nourished and supported, they are better prepared to focus, learn, and succeed in the classroom.

Lincoln County Schools remains committed to providing nutritious meals and creating positive food experiences for students every day.
