In partnership with the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) through the WVDE Office of Child Nutrition, Lincoln County Schools will offer both congregate summer meals and non-congregate meal boxes throughout Summer 2026. We are excited to continue and expand this program from last summer by keeping meal box preparation in-house this year. Through a combination of congregate meal service and non-congregate meal boxes, we have developed a plan that provides breakfast and lunch coverage for 73 of the 78 days students are on summer break.

The menu below, which will be prepared weekly by our very own Lincoln County Food Service Staff, features many student favorite items while continuing to meet USDA nutrition guidelines. As you will see, the menu is primarily shelf-stable, while daily entrées are included in a temperature-safe manner to provide more complete and satisfying meals for our students than were offered during last summer’s program.

Non-congregate meal boxes are free for all children ages 1–18 who reside in Lincoln County or attend a Lincoln County school, regardless of household income. Pre-registration is required. If more than one child lives in your household, a separate registration form must be completed for each child. Meal boxes are pre-ordered specifically for registered participants. If you miss pre-registration, late registration will be available after the first meal box distribution.
